BUIRD POTTERY AND PARKWOOD THROWING COURSES COMPLY WITH THE UK GDPR (UK General Data Protection Regulation) GUIDELINES.
What data do we collect?
As part of the process of making a purchase or a course booking, we need to collect the following data from you:
Your name
Your address
Your contact telephone number
Your email address
Name and address/email address of Gift Card recipient (courses only, if applicable)
Your dietary requirements (courses only)
Debit/credit card details, via Stripe (see below)
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data when you:
Make a purchase or book a course
Join our email mailing list (see below)
How do we use your data?
We do not share your data with anyone else. We collect your data so that we can:
Process your purchase or booking
Contact you with further information about the course, prior to the course start date (courses only)
Send you mailing list emails when we add new course dates (this only happens if you have opted into our email mailing list) (courses only)
How do we store your data?
We store your data securely. Debit/credit card details are not kept on record by ourselves, but by Stripe (see below).
Payment details
Your payment details are stored by our secure online payment processing platform, Stripe. Limited debit/credit card details are visible to us on our online Stripe dashboard. We can see the name on your card, the card expiry date and the last four digits of the card number. Full card numbers and the CVV number are not visible to us.
Our Email Mailing List (courses only)
Email addresses entered voluntarily in the relevant box on our website (for the purposes of joining our mailing list) are stored by our mailing list provider, Mailchimp. We respect your privacy and will only use your email address to let you know when we have added new course dates to our website for booking. You have the option to unsubscribe from our mailing list at the bottom of any mailing list email we send to you or by contacting us directly to request that we remove your email address from our mailing list.
Your Data Protection Rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase any of the data we collect. You also have the right to restrict processing of your data, the right to object to processing of your data and the right to data portability.
